Today: Working!

Saturday: I need to finish uploading all my living room info to Modsy. Every year when Christmas comes down, I want to redecorate. I reallllly wanted to hire an interior designer, but I was quoted at $400-$600 for just the living room. And that's just her design fee! That doesn't include anything!! While I am sure that is a reasonable price for her time, I can't swing it. So I'm trying Modsy - it was $45 (I had a 25% coupon code). You send them pictures and measurements, and they give you two designs (I think?) based on what you want to keep, what you want to spend, what your style is. Even if it's awful, I can handle $45. I'll keep you updated!

Sunday: I'm taking the big girls and meeting a friend for lunch along with her daughter - it's Audrey's BFF and we want to celebrate her birthday.

Today: Work, then home to hopefully have a nice quiet evening. The holidays have worn me out! And I have so much going on at work in January, I just need a quiet night. Hopefully my children cooperate...

Tomorrow: Hopefully doing something outdoors in the morning! It is supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow! We are having my husband's family over for a birthday dinner for his mom in the evening, so probably cleaning and getting ready for that during naps.

Sunday: Groceries, taking down the Christmas decorations, and hockey!

Jennelle: I am dying to try modsy! If there is a link for a referral credit or something, send it my way! I was quoted $1,000 by an interior designer for my living room and family room... I wish I could do it, I just prefer my budget to go to the stuff. A friend of mine used the Carol House in house designer and LOVED it. She said it is free so long as you buy your furniture from them. She did use the lady's suggestions and bought most of her accessories at Home Goods. I may eventually look into that, but once again you sort of get boxed in to the furniture they have available and not being able to shop around for sales. If Modsy doesn't work out, you may want to check into your local furniture stores for a similar service.

Today I'm working and the rest of the weekend will have one objective--take down and pack away everything Christmas. I love decorating, but this is the part that I dread--we have 3 trees and SO MUCH stuff!

We also have to get back into a bedtime routine since school starts back up on Monday (Thank you sweet baby Jesus!).

Interesting! I'm curious to hear how it goes!

Today: working and then picking up an order from Target. Hopefully once I get home I'll start organizing some stuff, I have a serious nesting urge right now and know I need to do it while I can!

Saturday: meeting a friend for lunch and probably having family over in the evening.

Sunday: preparing for the week, more cleaning/organizing, and having my sister over for dinner.

Today: I just got finished leading out a PD session and came back to school to set up my classroom, which got trashed at yesterday’s training. We had a 4E training with the swat team and, you guys, it was awful. I hate that we had to do this, I hate that my kiddos teachers have to do it, and I hate that the reality is that part of my job description is to know how to keep my students from getting killed. I do feel fortunate to teach high school, because I know if I ever needed to, I’d have plenty of help building barricades and such, but ugh. And when I say my room was trashed, I’m talking broken doors, lights, desks, etc. it was totally intense. I’m really looking forward to going home and relaxing tonight.

Tomorrow: Micah is at the lake with his grandma and Audrey is going to see Anastasia at the Fox. We feel like we should take advantage of having only two kiddos and go out to dinner.

Sunday: getting ready for the return to normal as school starts on Monday.
Kim: wife to Phil (07.01.06) and Mama to Audrey, Micah, Hadley, and Malachi.

Jennelle, I can't wait to hear about your Modsy experience!

Our weekend is getting ready for back to school and visiting with friends who have been in Florida over the break. For fun I got my nails done, and I get to decide how to use my Christmas money.
