Mini FB Rant

Postby jennelled » Tue Dec 04, 2018 9:44 pm

Two things drive me batty in FB groups:
1) "Admin delete if not allowed." THEY WILL DELETE IF IT ISN'T ALLOWED. Seriously! Why do people type this?
2) "Not (whatever the group is about) related" / or some convoluted rationale like, "baby related because I need blowout recommendations because my babies have killed my hair!" Unless it's crazy off topic, I just don't get why people feel the need to justify it? And if it isn't on topic, the admin will delete it.

That's all. My little rant o' the day. :)

I have a friend that goes through and types "F" on popular posts. But she's almost always the last one to comment, so I really don't understand. Just save it if you want to come back to it...?

OMG seriously. I think I've asked 100 times (just to be a ---- at this point) what the F is on someone's post.

(Again, sorry. . .it has been a LONG time since I made it in here. lol)

But, yeah, those things drive me crazy!

You know what drives me the craziest. Are you in any crafted groups?! (I'm in the "Crafted in St. Louis page.)
Okay, so you post the thing you are selling, and then people comment with "INT - pricing and location, please." Something to that effect. Then the seller has to message 1684856 people and give them the info.

WHY DON'T THEY JUST ADD THAT INFO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!??!! I will never understand!

Here is the craft I'm selling, it costs $1,345.00, and I'm located in the North Pole, or I can ship for $47.00.
Wouldn't that be a LOTTTTTTTT less work?! You wouldn't have to message 1684856 people then!

Seriously, is there a reason they don't include that info in the first place?????

I always wondered this too, but then someone posted and said they don't post their pricing because then other crafters under cut their price. For example, one girl posted those yearly file folders for kids stuff and then apparently another crafter messaged everyone that had commented on her post saying she would do it for $5 less. I do think they should post their location and if they ship though! And most of them have started to do that.

Makes sense!
But. . .they could pretend to be someone interested and get the pricing one way or another.
It just irritates me that I am not able to just see how much something costs.

I see their point on this but when I was in that group I often didn't hear back from people or it took awhile. If I'm looking for a gift/something unique, I'm looking during that internet search session. I'll move on to somewhere else that I can get it from and the answer I need.
Danny: [after a boy goes missing at Yankee Stadium] This would've never happened at Shea.
Vivian: It's so sad how bitter Mets fans are.
