Makeup Safety

Postby jennelled » Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:22 am

So Beautycounter is taking over the world, and I'm a little wary. Has anyone looked into cosmetics safety? I know that the US allows some chemicals that are banned in Europe, but that's the extent of my knowledge. Can anyone point me to some summaries?

I highly doubt I'll switch to all natural products, but perhaps as I use things up I may switch over a few things...

I have no idea but I have been wondering... is BeautyCounter a MLM company? Some of the comments I have read make me think so.

Yes, it is - which automatically makes me wary, ha ha! There are other lines out there that claim to be safe, too, but I feel like BC is the most prevalent because it's network marketing.

I do not use Beauty Counter, but someone on my FB has started selling it. I have not looked into it further.

I am trying to be more conscious of what I buy, but honestly, I am usually throwing something in the cart as fast as possible at Target... :dontknow: I have a friend who is replacing items with safer alternatives as she runs out of her current products, which sounds like a nice idea.
