Can I wear this romper to a wedding?

Postby Steph1673 » Tue May 01, 2018 11:36 pm

I have literally never worn a romper in my life, but this came in the mail and I kind of love it on

Can I wear this to a 5pm wedding & reception at The Chicago Athletic Association later this month? If I wore it, I'd either wear black or nude healed sandals like below.

I can't see a pic but my initial thought is no. I would need to see the pic.

It's very cute and I think it's dressy enough for a wedding--unless they've specified that it's a more formal event. I think it would blend right in with anyone in cocktail dresses too. :good:

It's cute, but I'm leading towards no. Sorry!

ok, weird that most can't see the photo? Here is a link: https://www.eloquii.com/sleeveless-lace ... 36469.html

If consensus is a "no" I'll probably return it; it's thicker, lacey and lined like a cocktail dress so it's not something I can wear casually, like a light summer romper.

I think it's super cute, but I wouldn't wear to a wedding.

I think it's fancy enough that you could wear it to the types of weddings I generally go to but if it's a super fancy wedding, maybe not. I don't think you should return it even if you don't wear it to the wedding - hopefully you can find other reasons to wear!

I agree! I think it totally depends on the venue / vibe of the wedding. It's super cute!

I've been to a Saturday night wedding at the CAA and I would say no. Also, since I work weddings almost every weekend now, I would say no to a romper in general unless you're under a certain age. And even then I just think that age doesn't know how to dress for certain events.
Danny: [after a boy goes missing at Yankee Stadium] This would've never happened at Shea.
Vivian: It's so sad how bitter Mets fans are.

Thanks! I'm just going to save it for a nice dinner while we are in Mexico, and maybe pack it for Chicago for the casual party they are having on their condo rooftop the night before.

This was what I purchased originally so I will probably go with this instead or the wedding and reception: https://www.macys.com/shop/product/msk- ... ID=1278162

Pretty! I actually have that same dress in navy! Here's a pic of a normal (non-model) wearing it. :)
