Anybody want to share slaw recipes? I always buy a bag of slaw and then throw it away because I never like my dressings whether it be vinegar/oil based or mayo based. I like both but if someone can share one they like, I'd appreciate it!!!
For mayo dressing I use the recipe on the bag but use light miracle whip. Adding celery seed really makes it yummy!
For a sweet slaw - bag of cabbage, one can of drained mandarin oranges, one small can drained pineapple tidbits and Hendrickson's sweet vinegar dressing (probably about half a bottle).
Ingredients: 3 lb. slaw (I use both green and purple cabbage) 1-1/3 cup shredded carrots 3/4 cup onion, cut finely 1/2 cup green pepper, cut finely 1/2 cup dark vinegar 1/2 cup oil 1 cup raw sugar salt and pepper to taste
Directions: Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Chill and serve.
