Picture Frame Card Box Directions

Postby mrsmaier » Fri Aug 01, 2008 12:32 pm

have a link and my home computer... BUT...
We used 4 8x10 frames with mats
8 hinges ( some people say to use L brackets, but hinges worked better for us, so we can take it apart afterwards)
lazy suzan - Walmart has them for $5 and so does Target
foam board
matting
and fabric

take the frames and connect them with the hinges (2 on each one top and bottom of the sides)
MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR PICTURES IN FIRST!!!
cut the foam board to cover your top ( we put it on the bottom also for extra support)
Cut a hole large enough for your cards to fit in the top of the box
follow the same step with the matting and fabric
We used hot glue to attach everything, but you can also use heavy duty staples
put all this on the lazy susan and glue or tape it down.

We used 10x13 picture frames found mats that fit 1 5x7 pic and 4 wallets so we could have pics from throughout our 8 year relationship. We used L brackets to hold it together, and still took it apart later. We also found an old wooden lazy susan at a yard sale for $2 that we spray painted the same color as frames.
I got a lot of complements on it and now have to make one for a friends wedding.
